Thirteen: The Secret Brotherhood’s Solidarity Symbol

The frequent, arbitrary appearance of number 13 encoded into the New Zealand Realm’s events is not only weird. Thirteen’s universal exhibitionism is freaky and creepy.

To an attuned eye, Thirteen’s masquerading as mundane data in dates, quantities and locations is like watching aggressive attention-seeking teenagers who have not yet worked out that the essence of ‘being cool’ is kindness. To a secret New Zealand fraternity that are aligned with their counterparts throughout the Anglo-Swiss-American closet empire, the number 13 works as a way for members of this hidden network to find, communicate and work with each other. Just as the Masonic Brotherhood in New Zealand’s colonial era encoded events with Thirteen to signal they were advancing the ‘great game’ of empire together,[1] today’s Neo-Colonial Brotherhood also use 13 to caution ‘the Fraternity’ not to investigate too hard when scandals break or crises erupt.

The primary number Thirteen symbolizes ‘unity and fraternal love’, and ‘procuring marriage agreements’, as occultist Aleister Crowley stated in his book, Liber 777, and W. Wynn Westcott asserted in his work, Numbers: Their Occult Power and Mystic Virtues.[2]

Thirteen makes its appearance in diverse events like OPERATION RAILHEAD, wherein the CIA’s ‘Air America’ made 1300 cargo flight crossings between the North and South Islands to undermine the 1951 Waterfront Strike. And when 13 secret agents were sent to New Zealand by the French state in OPERATION SATANIQUE to sink Greenpeace’s Pacific Ocean flagship, the Rainbow Warrior, on July 10 1985.[3] Conspicuously, the Officials Terrorism Committee limited the scope of the investigation after two of the French agents were caught [4], The French Deep State’s attack eventually resulted in the United Nations’ tacitly condoning terrorism by brokering a compensation sum of $13 million – rather than seeking the trial of conspirators in the French Secret Service (Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure or DGSE) and President François Mitterrand, who was the brother of Jaques Mitterand, the Grand Master of the Grand Orient de France, or French Templar Freemasonry.[5] Conspicuously, the CIA’s sanitized disclosure regarding the 1300 Cook Strait flights in 1951 flown by its Civilian Air Transport (CAT) planes was part of an almost 13-million page document dump in late 2016, that also shed more light on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency’s sinister MK-ULTRA mind-control project, that consisted of more than 130 programs in prisons, hospitals and universities all over USA America.[6]

Symbolic Signals: The Political and Commercial Marriage Game

This virgin teenage number has also made fleeting appearances in New Zealand’s elections, such as a vote count announcement on the 1987 election night, stating that the Labour Party were thirteen votes ahead in Whanganui City, which prompted the then-incumbent Prime Minister David Lange to say, “Oh, there’s 13 people who need shooting!”[7] Fascinatingly, in a pre-election 3News report of 11 November 2011, political reporter Duncan Garner made a point of saying that then-Prime Minister John Key’s cup of tea conversation with then-ACT Party leader and Freemason John Banks lasted for exactly 13 minutes and his ‘sound-bite’ answer to 3News was precisely 13 seconds long. Applying numerology to the café location, 139 Carlton Gore Road Newmarket, 1+3+9 adds up to 13. Fascinatingly, global engineering firm, Aurecon, which had 13 of its staff on the Christchurch City Council’s post-earthquake Mayoral Flood Taskforce, holds the buildings’ naming rights at 139 Carlton Gore Road where its Auckland office is located. Tellingly, on the 2014 election night, ACT Party leader David Seymour stammered as he emphasized his team had door-knocked on roughly 13,000 homes in the Epsom electorate.[8]

The ubiquitous 13 turned up in regional politics and commerce, with Auckland’s mayors showing a tendency to deploy the number thirteen, as well. When current Mayor Phil Goff sought Len Brown’s seat in 2016, newspaper of that year, The New Zealand Herald, ran a headline, “Goff’s $1.3b light rail plan”.[9] In early 2015, former major Len Brown proposed a $1.3 billion spending slash.[10] In a $130,000 report that signaled solidarity with a 2013 Crown block offer for oil and gas drilling in the Hawke’s Bay, the New Zealand Institute for Economic Research, whose capital city base is on Level 13 in Willeston House Wellington, provided the lure of potential annual royalties of $13%.[11] Drilling royalties were projected at $13 billion across the whole New Zealand economy.[12]

The Neo-Colonial Brotherhood’s number 13 also makes recurring appearances in numbers to do with the Christchurch Earthquake Disaster and State Asset Sales. The following two scenarios are exemplary examples of economic warfare shock ‘therapies’ as described more generally by Naomi Klein in her 2007 book, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism.[13] Because dominant capitalist coalitions are only able to extract high profits through a strategic sabotage of industry, they collude with the public sector to exploit crises to inflict far-reaching policy shocks.[14] Resources are monopolized.

Twilight Zone 13 – Christchurch: 13,000 plus Earthquakes[15]

The Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) and the Christchurch City Council formed a visible ‘alliance’ with big business, in keeping with the Shock Doctrine.[16] But, what outsiders could not see was just how deftly the Brotherhood signaled their unfolding moves with the number Thirteen, to exploit the earthquake crisis. To this mucky end, the earthquakes’ costs were estimated at 13% of GDP.[17] CERA estimated 1300 commercial buildings might be demolished, and subsequently were by 2016,[18] or more precisely, 1339 buildings – that is – 13 x 3 equals 39 – a cute capstone figure to complete the estimate.[19] The Earth Quake Commission paid out $1.3bn[20] and found 13,000 claims were ‘over cap’, meaning private insurers were also liable.[21] AMI doubled down on its insurance cover of $1.3 billion.[22] Magically, Christchurch house prices rose 13%.[23]

On September 13 2012, Education Minister Hekia Parata proposed closing 13 schools.[24] A media pack was handed out at 11.30am, and a video played that included a plan to merge one school into a Year 1-13 mega-school.[25] Some of the schools earmarked for closure had only minor damage, which subsequently confused the good people of Christchurch, and Campbell Live.[26]

Also in the numbers were over 1300 kilometres of water pipes,[27] 1300m of gravity pipes,[28] and 13 kilometres of stopbanks,[29] while road-laying took up to 13 weeks per km.[30] Christchurch required 13000 new homes.[31] Fletchers EQR ‘inducted’ 13000 contractors,[32] reported 13000 home repairs completed[33] and 13000 to be done.[34] Rebuild projects emphasized 13 in the statistics,* including 13 bridges,[35] a 1300 square metre shopping plaza,[36] a project requiring 1300 tonnes of structural steel,[37] a 13000 litre tank,[38] 13000sq m of new building,[39] 1300 kilometres of ultra fast broadband cable remaining to be laid,[40] and a 130km irrigation project.[41] In the Selwyn District, the symbolically named Minister of Housing and Development, Lockwood Smith, unlocked 113 hectares of land.[42] In mid-2012, the Medical Assurance Society reported 13 commercial properties written off.[43] CERA re-zoned approximately 1300 White–coded properties to Green to initiate repair. Boffa Miskell landscape architecture CEO, Don Miskell,** enthused that sticking the police and courts next to the new central bus terminal would concentrate 1300 workers in an under-populated part of the city to make life easier for their ‘customers’.[44]

Trading Away Family Silver: State Asset Sales in Cartel Market Formation

In 2013, Craigs Investment Partners estimated that the addition of five Crown-owned power companies – Mighty River Power, Genesis Energy, Meridian Energy, coal company Solid Energy and Air NZ to the New Zealand Stock Exchange would increase the NZX’s market capitalization value by about $13 billion.

In mid-2012, prior to the partial sell-off of the four Crown-owned power companies, an independent energy analyst, Molly Melhuish, who evidently based her research on official data, found that private companies charged 13 per cent more for electricity than their state-owned counterparts.[45] Forebodingly, in mid-July 2012, then-Herald columnist John Armstrong wrote, “Everyone knows the mixed ownership model is nothing other than a halfway house to the power generators eventually falling into private hands.”[46] The closing date for submissions on the Mixed Ownership Model Bill had been 13 April 2012.[47]

At the close of Mighty River Power’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) on 5 May 2013, the power generator magically had 113,000 shareholders.[48] Then, on 28 August 2013, a 3News story about the partially privatized Mighty River Power displayed a graphic showing that the share prices were down from the launch day high. The dates for the share price data were May 13, June 13, July 13 and August 13 2013. A few days later, in a Te Kāea news report about assets sales on Māori Television, then-Prime Minister John Key stated that the government already had a referendum mandate, adding arrogantly, “it’s called a general election.”[49] On 23.10.2013, 3News also reported that only 130,000 copies of the Mighty River Power share offer prospectus were sent to potential investors out of 250,000 printed. The Mighty River Power prospectus proposed dividends equating to 13 cents a share.[50] Genesis Energy paid 13c a share in the 2014 financial year.[51] In May 2015, Solid Energy cut 113 jobs at its West Coast Stockton Mine.[52]

The Neo-Colonial Fraternity has also embedded ‘Thirteen’ into events by using multiples. For example, a multiple of 13 appeared in a news story in August 2013 about Meridian Energy, whose profits were reported to have increased 52%.[53] Like a deck of cards, four houses of 13 cards make a deck of 52. In 2017, Air New Zealand – which was partially sold in November 2013 – reported cash holdings of $1.3 billion, operating revenue of $2.6 billion (or 2 x $1.3bn), and had achieved cost savings of $113 million.[54]

Intriguingly, in a prior Crown selling spree,[55] 13 state-owned enterprises were sold for a mere $13 billion by December 1994.[56] State asset sales are designed to transfer wealth to Rich-Listers, enable extortionist pricing business models, and concentrate power.

Editor’s Notes:

* The author added yellow highlights to emphasize 13 in the original publications.

**The statistic of 1300 workers in police and courts precinct indicates that a member of the Brotherhood inserted this data in the rebuild figures. It does mean that Boffa Miskell CEO, Don Miskell, is part of the Fraternity. Furthermore, the appearances of number 13 in institutional data does not necessarily mean that the nominal head of the institution is a member of the Fraternity, or that everyone who reproduces such data belongs to the Brotherhood.
